| Description:This film project was directed, written, and performed all by themselves after the death of manager Brian Epstein in August 1967. It was broadcast on BBC-TV and screened in Japan at Budokan in 1968. The story of this omnibus film was later acclaimed as "the forerunner of MTV. The content of the film is about a bus tour in which the Beatles participate. The non-Beatles participants in the tour are Mrs. Jessie Starkey (Jessie Robbins), who plays Ringo's aunt, Jolie Jimmie Johnson (Derek Royle), Miss Wendy (Mandy Wheat), Buster Bradvessel (Ivor Cutler), and others. During the tour, various funny things happen due to the whims of the "five wizards". The Wizards are with the four Beatles, Mal Evans, their road manager for many years. In between the events of the tour, "I Am the Walrus" by the Beatles, The film also features scenes of the Beatles performing "I Am the Walrus," "Blue Jay Way," and a performance of "Death Cab for Cutie" by the British comic band Bonzo Dog Dawg Dawg Dawg Band. | |
