| CD Description : The commemorative first album for Hiroaki Kato, Nokie Edwards' foremost disciple. The Music Department Store High UNIT Grand Opening! From Ventures sound to country and standards! A jam-packed summer!! Produced by FEI Records, the CD is now available. As you're all familiar with every track, I'll skip detailed explanations. For tracks No.1 to No.10 on this album, I consciously drew from the latest style of my friend and revered mentor, former Ventures lead guitarist Nokie Edwards, adding my own interpretation to remake the Ventures sound. Tracks 11 through 20 feature my own arrangements, some played without strict adherence to Nokie or The Ventures' styles. For the country songs, I specifically aimed for a Nokie-style cover, but for the Latin and standards, I played them without any particular style in mind. I hope you enjoy it. |
