CD Description : Recorded at Tokyo Kosei Nenkin Hall in July 1971.Formed in 1967 around guitarist ROBBIE VAN LEEUWEN, later joined by GRACE SLICK-type lead vocalist MARISKA VERES, SHOCKING BLUE is a Dutch girl beat band that has taken the world by storm with their solid pop music spun by their stable and powerful voices. The band, whose ideology is representative of the anti-Japanese sentiment in the Netherlands, performed their hit songs such as "Venus" in spite of the lyrics' mistakes. |
