CD Description : In 1970, the train crossed Canada carrying some of the best artists of the time. Janis Joplin, The Band, The Grateful Dead, Buddy Guy and The Flying Burrito Brothers were some of the most famous faces of the 1970s. The concert, which toured by train, was named ‘Festival Express’. The whole thing was captured on film. However, the 75 hours of precious film have since disappeared... In 1995, the legendary film was discovered in very good condition, and after a further 10 years, it was finally brought back to life in 2004. The legendary live footage of the artists and the sessions on the train transcend the category of mere music documentaries, The passion they radiate is burned onto the screen with intensity. This is truly a ‘miracle rock film’!
