| CD Description : A record of Utada Hikaru's first tour eBOHEMIAN SUMMER 2000f, held in the summer of 2000, at Chiba Marine Stadium. Despite being a national star, she had little exposure on TV media, and just being able to see her in action was a rare occurrence, so tickets were at a premium. She was a great performer, and it was hard to believe that she was a beginner at a live performance. Of course, her voice may not have been as consistent as it should have been, partly because her own compositions are difficult to begin with, but her out-of-breath but vividly emotive voice had a rawness and sense of speed that only a live performance can provide, unlike a CD. The songs she covered, such as Yutaka Ozaki and Momoe Yamaguchi, were completely her own, showing off her talent as an expressive artist. (Minoru Asaji) |
